A sought-after drummer and percussionist, Shane Corwin bridges the gap between groove, precision, and artistry.
Shane Corwin is a drummer and percussionist currently based in New York City.
Holding a Masters in Music from New York University and a Bachelors in Music from the University of New Mexico, Shane has a strong foundation in classical percussion, along with jazz and pop drumming and theatrical percussion.
As a freelance musician, Shane subs Off-Broadway at shows including the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and was the drummer for the 2023 Off-Broadway show SCOUTS, where he also provided additional orchestrations. Shane performs at the Gulfshore Playhouse down in Naples, Florida with Music Director Trevor Pierce and backs such artists as Bella Coppola (SIX, SMASH), Jordan Tyson (Gypsy, Hadestown), Carolina Rial (The Voice), and Alyssa Wray (American Idol). Shane has also performed as a section percussionist with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and was the touring percussionist with The Evil Dead In Concert movie tour in 2025.
Shane currently writes front ensemble and battery books for Canyon Del Oro High school in Tucson, Arizona and has been teaching marching band and privately since 2017.
